Do you ever have one of those days where you are hungry for a good stir fry but just not sure how to go about making it? For me it is just a matter of putting together vegetables that to my liking and there is not right or wrong. The only tip I have is to cut to the same thickness so they all cook to your liking as well.
In this meal, I had sirloin steak cut super thin, the kind you would use to make a steak sandwich. I added a applewood rub and let it sit to the sliced steak.
I then chopped up onion, pepper and mushrooms and sauteed them so they will still have some crunch but not quite translucent and then I added shaved cabbage and made it really sizzle on high heat for about 1 minutes. I removed the veggies from the pan and added just a small drizzle of olive oil and tossed in the steak strips and again stir fry on med high heat until the steak is no longer pink. Reduce to medium heat and added 1/2 tbsp of A1, Heinz 57 and a splash of low sodium soy sauce and turned off the heat leaving the pan on the burner and stirring the veggie mix back in. Then I served on a rice / quiona blend and the meal was fantastic and completed in less than 10 minutes.
